I showed up to Maryland on a red eye at 8AM on a Sunday. I was supposed to pick up my car and drive to my new apartment. Unfortunately, my car had a weird starter problem the night before (something the seller was supposed to fix by Tuesday). I had a rent-a-car. For a lot of reasons that I will tell you privately, I didn't get my car for another 3 weeks! Fortunately, the apartment worked out. Check out this view! Although there is a screen in the way that makes the picture look bad, it is the best view I have ever had from a room - even while living on the 10th floor of my beach front dorm (view was obstructed).
My first and biggest task for the day was finding a bed. I knew I wasn't in a city, so a Walmart had to be nearby. I got out the ol' iPhone, and tried to get there. From the road, Walmart was absolutely impossible to find. None of the buildings had signs that you could see from the road, and all of the roads were surrounded by green grass covered dirt mounds. Really pretty, but really inconvenient. I found Walmart and got my bed. It was a good day (save the car).
